Inflowmatix provides state-of-the-art pressure sensors and software analytics to water utilities worldwide. Their innovative technology includes an intuitive, high-speed water pressure monitoring and analytics system, enabling utilities to pinpoint the root causes of leaks and bursts in water networks.
Inflowmatix approached Lumico Digital for help in developing a reliable, user-friendly web app to support its network sensor technology.
Although Inflowmatix had an in-house development team, the project’s scale required additional support to stay on track with their delivery schedule. They needed extra hands quickly and couldn’t afford mistakes, so our experience with similar projects made us a great match.
Initially, Inflowmatix had started building a web app and sought our help to refine and complete it. However, after early discussions, they decided to restart the project from scratch.
Starting the web app from scratch gave us the opportunity to apply our own recommendations from the very beginning.
While development is our core focus, we also prioritise great design. Our in-house UX team worked closely with our developers to create an intuitive interface that complemented our back-end work, ensuring a seamless user experience.
We also used our expertise in AWS (Amazon Web Services) to migrate Inflowmatix from their internal servers to a serverless cloud setup. This move boosted the app’s scalability and flexibility, making it easier for new team members to get involved without needing to learn proprietary systems—ideal for onboarding.
The app is now used by water networks and researchers exploring smart water systems.
Being web-based, it works through any browser, making it ideal for large organisations where IT restrictions block software downloads.
We continue to add features to boost value for Inflowmatix’s utility customers, focusing on event detection like pipe fractures.
Since April 2018, we've become an integral part of Inflowmatix’s team, offering ongoing support both remotely and on-site, while learning from their thorough testing and quality standards.
